more peta crap
now peta is saying that britney spears went nuts because she eats meat and drinks milk. wow. this makes my want to die kind of. | | Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 | | 8:06 am |
oh god peta
ok so i just heard this new report on the radio that i can not ignore. peta protested the westminster dog show yesterday because they say that the show promotes breeding, and not adopting. they want people to adopt dogs rather than buy them from breeders. the reason i take issue with this is because if anyone treats their animal ethically it's people who put own dogs that are put in shows. these dogs have to be perfect, and pampered so to protest this event is absolutely asinine. i understand that some people that breed dogs go about it the wrong way, but to protest the show? pretty stupid peta. first getting on pedro martinez for an incident a couple of years ago where he took part in an event that his legal, and part of the culture in the dominican republic, now this. good job peta. way to be. | | 7:40 am |
busy news day
well it's been a few days, but there was nothing to really talk about so there's my excuse. i guess the most newsworthy thing that happened in my life was that i had my second interview at cedar crest yesterday. the woman said that she was going to recommend me as one of the top candidates so that's pretty awesome. now on to sports. pitchers and catchers report to spring training tomorrow. media coverage should be pretty huge because of johan santana. that's great for me because JOHAN SANTANA IS ON THE METS! i'll never get tired of saying that. john rockkker made another stupid comment. he said that bud selig should do the world a favor and kill himself. this would be shocking if it wasn't rockkker. what a scumbag. lawrence tynes and the giants are almost done with a contract that would mean a five year deal. the pens are first in the atlantic division and second in the eastern conference right now, and that rules. the last thing i'll mention is the proposed ferris wheel for the xanadu project in the meadowlands. it probably sucks for the people that are going to lose their view of the nyc skyline, but it'll be a huge attraction to the area. personally, if i lived in the area, and lost my view of the city i would be pissed, but since i don't, i really don't care about the issue. if it gets built i probably will never ever ride it because i'm not really good with being held in a glass box for 25 minutes being held at 286 feet above the ground. anyways the reason i brought this issue up is because of the way the record compared it too the texas star, a similar wheel in dallas. here's how they compared the views... texas star: view of dallas skyline, cotton bowl, and fort worth 45 miles away. xanadu: view of manhattan skyline, giants stadium, and former landfills. is anyone really going to get excited and say, "hey let's go to the meadowlands and get a sweet view of some former landfills!" that's all for now. | | Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 | | 7:27 am |
updating daily is easier when you have things to say
here are the most important things going on right now. these are in no order. the new york football giants are the superbowl champions. nfl.com's patriots headline: 18 and d'oh! that made me lol. the new york mets officially signed johan santana to a pretty long contract for a lot of friggin money. he's probably the best pitcher in baseball, and he's in his prime. this is going to be a great year, i can't wait for spring training. i need a valentine. like a real one who'll make out with me. i'll shave if you want me to. have fun kids. | | Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 | | 6:57 am |
early update
overslept today. oof. went to the devils vs. penguins game last night, and my boys from pittsburgh won 4-2. pictures will be up on facebook later on today. that's the plan anyway. the mets are most likely getting the best pitcher in baseball, johan santana. this is huge. i'm pumped. more later as it happens | | Monday, January 28th, 2008 | | 1:00 pm |
ok so i haven't been so daily about this
it's been a rough couple of days with all that's going down at the firehouse. that kinda took priority over updating a daily blog. anyways, it's not really my liberty to post those details on here, so that's all i'll say about it for now. saturday paul fixed my car, then i went to jefferson rescue's dinner. that ended up being pretty fun, and i ended up exchanging some pretty funny text messages with crissy. yesterday i went ice skating with paul, dave, michelle, and the kids. matthew was playing hockey and it was friggin adorable. later on i went to hooters with steph, jeff, and chris. we watched to royal rumble, and it was cool. since survivor series changed it's format, the rumble has really taken over as my favorite wrestling ppv when i get a chance to watch it. today, i'm here at work for 13 hours because i have to be in order to train someone. so gay. oh and we have no heat here. yaaaaaaaaaaay. the mets have been in talks with livan hernandez the past few days. i hope that leads to signing him because we need the pitching. superbowl sunday is coming up, and i can not wait. i wanna see the giants knock the patriots down a peg, and ruin that perfect season. and there's something else that may or may not happen that i'm excited about. we'll see what happens. | | Thursday, January 24th, 2008 | | 6:50 am |
work work work
it's 6:50, and i'm at work. awesome. i have a job interview at cedar crest later. i'm pretty nervous about it. | | Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 | | 1:31 pm |
quick stuff real quick
stephanie is letting me use her netflix. this will more than likely rule. if you like movies, watch "black irish" it's really good. there's boston accents, drama, booze, and baseball. seriously, it's all around good. the mets signed endy chavez to a two year deal which makes my life complete. dear girls, most of you are lame. cut it out. thx. that's all for now. | | Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008 | | 5:33 pm |
i'm going to start doing this thing daily
first of all, heath ledger was found dead in mary kate olsen's apartment today with pills around his body. oof. rest in peace heath. 28 years old, it's tragic in my book. other notes: saw a few movies in the past few days: cloverfield - i liked it. it kept me entertained, and i like the element of reality they put into it. hot rod - at first i thought it was stupid, but as it went on i found it funnier. isla fisher and andy samberg are a good team, and bill heder is the icing on that cake. juno - i thought it was great. lots of random one liners, and of course michael cera. one of my favorite lines was "i'm gonna punch that bleeker kid in the wiener next time i see him." the longest yard - not bad, but not amazing. i'm a dork so seeing a whole bunch of wrestlers in the movie was awesome. that's all for now. | | Sunday, November 18th, 2007 | | 11:08 pm |

ugh
i hate not sleeping lately. ugh. today. | | Thursday, April 19th, 2007 | | 12:43 am |
i'm all alone and a year out of luck so i'm giving up what i've been fighting
some people are just plain stupid. i'm not even sure this one person is even trying to be as cold and insensitive as i think he's being, or if he's just so dumb he doesn't get. being a vengeful prick, and rubbing in how well your life is going isn't exactly something friends do. be a fucking man you nimrod. yeah i used the word nimrod. in other news nothing is going on. everything else is just stagnant. i should probably go out and meet new people, and smooch some gals, but i'm kinda lazy. anyway, that's all. ps BRIDGETTE YOUR ENTRIES ARE TAKING A DOWNWARD SPIRAL. rainy day music
i'm pretty tired right now. i kinda don't want to go to the wetdown meeting tonight, but i know i have to. i've been listening to day at the fair's first album because it's excellent rainy day music. i've got some thoughts on my mind. ps my prayers go out to anyone affected by the shootings at virginia tech. | | Thursday, April 5th, 2007 | | 1:32 am |

tessie you are the only, only, only
ok so i was just reading some of my favorite celebrity blogs (yeah i know, so gay) and britney spears is the craziest person in america right now. i've seen old men in new york city spouting made up bible verses as they walk down the street that are more sane than her at this point. it's a damn shame. in other news, i spent a bunch of this weekend pretty sick. i still functioned for the most part, but i stayed in on saturday, sunday, and i even carried over to staying in monday night as well. i should be over whatever i had by now. of course i'm going to another ice rescue drill tonight so i'll probably get sick again. oh well, that's life. there's a whole bunch of people i miss. last week i caught up with tim, leslie, nat, and mike sap and that was really cool. there's still a few people i really want to hang out with/catch up with on my list right now. namely the belmonts, the wuchters, joe, lauren, and nicole. i pretty much need to stop being so damn busy, and as a result so tired. i recently saw little miss sunshine, and thought it was pretty good. i don't think it was great, but it held my attention. the middle of the movie was the best part. i thought the beginning, and the end were kind of blah. i also saw smoking aces, now that movie was really good. the ending was a bit confusing, but i fully enjoyed it. st. patrick's day is coming up. for some reason, i've always liked that holiday so i'm excited. that's all for now. stay posi, don dopey Current Mood: complacentCurrent Music: the dropkick murphys | | Friday, February 16th, 2007 | | 1:55 am |
